Bass

The bass guitar has been used in almost all music since the 1950s, replacing the upright bass which used to be used in music. It is a cool sounding low-octave instrument. It is primarily used to set a beat, but it can be used as a soloing instrument. It is used as a soloing instrument in fusion, jazz, and funk. Famous bassists include Paul McCartney of the Beatles and Wings, Sting of the Police, and Gene Simmons of Kiss.

The Beatles

The Beatles were almost indisputably the greatest and most influential band of all time. They had many firsts, including the first concept album of all time, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. They were also the band that changed the experience of a concert forever. Before the Beatles, there was no excitement during a concert. Unfortunately, the sound systems of the time could not keep up with the noise produced by the crowd so they stopped touring after going to Candlestick Park in 1966. The Beatles explored all different kinds of music from pop music to psychedelic rock. Artists today who have claimed they are inspired by the Beatles include Blink 182, Oasis and many more.

Bose QuietComfort 3

These new headphones greatly reduce the noise you hear around you. They work great on air planes to reduce what you hear of the air conditioning system. Since you can't hear what's around you, you can listen to your music at a lower volume to keep from damaging your ear drums.

Dream Studio

My dream studio would have a lounge with a pool table, an air hockey table and a big screen TV. The studio itself would have a comfortable at home feeling with couches to make the artists feel more comfortable. It would be a studio for music production with good sound equipment. It would be located somewhere warm and tropical so when you need to relax you can go to the beach.

Pearl Jam

Accused of being a cash-in on the alternative rock explosion in the early 1990s, Pearl Jam has proved critics wrong through their refusal to change their style since its inception. Pearl Jam is widely considered one of the best rock bands of the 1990s. They still continue to make albums, their most recent being the 2009 album Backspacer. Pearl Jam has outlasted the trend of the 1990s and has continued to make unpopular decisions to keep themselves from being mainstream.
