Pink Floyd was a progressive rock band formed in the 1960s known most famously for their three concept albums: Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and the Wall. The band started off as a psychedelic rock band but started to become a progressive rock band after the album The Meddle and singer Syd Barrett started to become mentally ill. Roger Waters took over as the leader of the group and started to create the concept albums that made the band widely considered to be one of the best of all time.
